Tech-on-Tile was founded in 1996 right here in Polokwane — a family business with a simple mission: manufacture the best concrete roof tiles in Limpopo.
Thirty years later, we run three factories, produce four exclusive profiles in eleven colours, and offer the most complete ridge and hip accessory range in the region. Our tiles are SABS certified and produced using advanced extrusion technology developed in partnership with Vortex Hydra, Italy.
Through droughts, load-shedding, and everything in between — we've kept the machines running and the quality high. That's what 30 years looks like.

Concrete Tile vs Steel Roofing: The Real Cost
Most people think steel sheeting is the cheaper roof. The numbers say otherwise.
The Independent Study
An independent cost comparison study was done for Roof Tiles against Steel. The same 161m² house at 25° pitch was costed two ways, one with Double Roman concrete tiles, the other with 0.47mm corrugated steel sheeting.

Why Steel Costs More Than It Looks
The Bottom Line
Concrete tile is cheaper on full installed cost, cheaper over its lifespan, and superior on thermal comfort and property value. The "steel is cheaper" myth comes from comparing a single sheet price to a single tile price — without adding insulation, trusses, maintenance, or lifespan.
A concrete tile roof costs less than a steel roof — and lasts twice as long.
